Privacy notice

Last updated: 28 October 2026. This notice explains how ApplyReady handles your personal information under the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).

Who we are

ApplyReady is run by Jonathan Petersen (the responsible party). Contact us about privacy at jonathantpetersen@gmail.com.

What we collect

Only add information you're comfortable sharing. You don't need to give us sensitive details such as your ID number, health, race or religion, and we ask you not to.

Why we use it

Only to provide the service you asked for: checking jobs against your CV and pay, and preparing your applications. We don't sell your information, show it to employers, or use it for advertising. ApplyReady never sends applications for you.

Who processes it, and where

These providers are outside South Africa. By agreeing to this notice you consent to your information being transferred to them for these purposes (POPIA section 72). They are bound by contracts that require them to protect it.

How long we keep it

For as long as you have an account. When you delete your account, your profile, jobs and applications are deleted straight away. Backups held by our providers expire on their normal schedule.

Your rights

Security

Your data is protected by sign-in links instead of passwords, encrypted connections, and database rules that let each person see only their own information. On a shared phone or computer, sign out when you're done.

Beta

ApplyReady is in a free beta. Features may change, and we may contact you by email about the service. You can stop using it and delete your account at any time.
